Throughout the Pedigree years, Sindy had no less than 6 different styles of home. My friends Mandy and Sarah, have good examples of the earlier styles of Sindy house, so please sit back and relax with Sindy while you view Mandy and Sarah's fab Sindy home collection.
In 1983 Sindy was given a new home called a Superhome made of a 3 storey plastic framework with slot in cardboard walls. The floors were brown plasticand looked like floorboards. The house had a lift which could be pulled up the front strut of the house carrying the dolls to each floor and the roof terrace.
The house was revised in 1984 with a similar 3 storey structure but it had a slate roof and hardboard floors instead.
Both houses could have additional rooms by adding a stable/garage and a bedroom extension to the side of the house. The photo shows both houses together.
In 1985 Sindy's house changed again to a luxurious country manor, with living quarters on the first floor and stables and garage below. The house was arranged in a T shape so it had it's own stable yard for the horses. Again made of a plastic framework with cardboard walls and roof and hardboard flooring held in place by triangular floor connectors.
Sindy has borrowed her American friend Barbie's beach house and is having a relaxed summer with her friends.

Sindy houses had a roof garden on the 1983 Superhome, or a Country Garden set as shown above (1981-85), could be put by the house. The Country Garden set came with a greenhouse with opening door & velux window, seed trays, a flower bed and gardening items plus real compost and seeds, so little girls could grow real flowers. All this sat on a plastic mat painted as a garden.
